Mosco moving at a snail``s pace

Motorsports, one of the fast growing disciplines in the world, is moving at a snail``s pace in Orissa. It is evident that since its inception in 1987 the Motor Sports Club of Orissa (MOSCO) has not been able to organise more than one event a year. Lack of sponsorship and infrastructure are the major reasons for which the sport is languishing in the State. ``Conducting a motorsport event of modest nature involves expenditure in lakhs. We get sponsorship only in thousands. On most occasions, club members spend on their own,```` says Mosco secretary Pradip Sarkar.
